UK Space Design Competition 2013

Would you like to win a trip to NASA’s Lyndon. B. Johnson Space Center in America? The UK Space Design Competition gives you the opportunity to do just that! The UK Space Design Competition is an industry simulation experience open to all current secondary school students in the United Kingdom.

UK Space Settlement Design Competition (UKSDC) is hosted by the Space Science and Engineering Foundation and supported by the UK Space Agency.

The competition is free to enter, is available to school years 9 to 13, and promotes STEM outreach, team building and communication skills.

Key dates for the 2013 UK competition:
Deadline for entry: 16 November 2012
Notification date: 7 January 2013
UK Competition: 23-24 March 2013

The UK Space Design Competition is a residential industry simulation game open to all secondary school students in the United Kingdom in years 9-13 on the weekend of the competition. Finalist teams, having earned their place at the competition through either a video application procedure or through victory at one of our regional competitions, travel to Imperial College London where, whilst remaining as a team, they join with several other students to form one of four simulated design companies of up to 50 students each.
