13. 08. 12

The registration for the FIRST LEGO League (FLL®) 2012/2013 Challenge Senior Solutions is now open! There are currently 20 regional tournaments across the UK and Ireland with some of these events running two day tournaments. The FLL® is a global science and technology competition for teams of up to 10 students, aged 9 - 16 years, to encourage an interest in real world issues and develop crucial key skills.

Each year the teams build, program and test an autonomous LEGO Mindstorms® robot to solve a set of missions, as well as research, develop and share their innovative solution, all while being guided by the FLL set of Core Values! Students can complete either a Bronze or Silver Crest Award during this project.

Register your team and find out more information on the website. The registration fee is £150 + VAT, plus you will need to have access to a LEGO Mindstorm robot. Registration will remain open until all tournament slots are full.

The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) is proud to be the new FIRST LEGO League Operational Partner for 2012/2013, in the UK and Ireland. If you have any queries about FLL or the challenge please contact: firstlegoleague@theiet.org
