30. 11. 11

Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut is an international educational challenge focusing on fitness, nutrition and space science. The European Space Agency and UK Space Agency have teamed up with NASA to use space explorers as models to promote regular exercise and healthy nutrition among young people worldwide. Teams of students learn the principles of healthy eating and exercise and compete for points by completing training modules. Students practise scientific reasoning and teamwork, whilst learning more about space exploration.

You don't have to take part in the competition to use the free Mission X educational resources. Resources for science classes include Living Bones, Strong Bones, Hydration Station, Energy of an Astronaut, and Reduced Gravity, Low Fat. To be involved in the Mission X 2012 competition, contact isseducationteam@esa.int to take part.
