Cosmic Futures competition offers students the chance to become professional space journalists

07. 03. 11

Are you a cosmic science writer or designer? The Cosmic Futures Competition gives you the chance to work with the people who make science happen (and the people who write about it) to create an exciting new magazine.

With tips and advice from experts, you are challenged to create your own article, photo essay or poster which tells the general public that the Britsh Space industry is going places.

The work you create will be judged by an expert panel and you could win an exciting range of prizes (including books signed by astronauts Piers Sellers and Richard Garriott) and the chance to see how a real newsroom works at the Metro Newspaper. The top prize is the chance to create an exciting new magazine.

Anyone aged 8 - 18 (as of December 31, 2010) can enter; the challenge is to create an exciting and interesting poster, article or photo essay that best describes how the British are at the forefront of Space science.

Entries must be submitted before midday GMT on May 20, 2011.

For full details of the competition and to download the entry form you are required to complete, please visit the competition website.
