Titan is Coming to Armagh Planetarium!

Northern Ireland

10. 03. 12 - 11. 03. 12

Performances at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm

Armagh Planetarium has been bringing the stars to Ireland for over forty years. But coming for a visit this March is the biggest “Superstar” to date - Titan the Robot.

Titan has just finished off a whirlwind forty date tour with boy band JLS and recently appeared on stage with International Megastar Rihanna. But now the mighty 8ft walking, talking robotic marvel is set for a weekend of excitement in the Cathedral City.

The robot who sings, dances and talks will be performing three free 30-minute show-stopping performances, starting at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of March. Bookings for the shows must be made in advance.

Titan has performed at events all around the world including Beijing, Hong Kong,
Dubai, and all over Europe, so the Planetarium is very excited that he will be coming to visit. Planetarium Director Dr. Tom Mason said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Titan to Armagh Planetarium. It will be a fantastic weekend of free entertainment, and one that I am certainly looking forward to. I would urge everyone to come out and give him a proper Armagh reception".

On that weekend we will be running a robot arts and crafts master class where you can make and take home your very own miniature Titan. We will also have robot presentations running throughout the day where you can find out more about how robotics are used in everyday life and in space. And if that is not enough, you can also book into our regular digital theatre shows which will be running.

Spaces for the Titan performances are limited, so to avoid disappointment please pre-book your place by calling us on 028 37523689.
