Planning Science in a Creative Curriculum: Space

This exciting course looks at planning science in the creative curriculum and focuses on the topic of Space. Come and develop your own plan for either your class or the whole school, with science at the centre of a cross-curricular topic. The course will give you the opportunity to find out about:

- Being an astronaut
- Planning a mission to space
- Life on board a space station
- Travelling to other planets

You will also try out practical science activities related to the following:

- Space and materials
- Space and forces
- Space and the human body

As part of this course each delegate will receive a set of free teaching resources developed by the European Space Agency. There is also a £50 bursary provided by ESERO-UK (the UK Space Education Office) for schools to purchase further science resources for practical activities.

Venue: Science Learning Centre North East.

Cost: £130

Places on the course are limited to 20 schools (one person from each school) and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
