Year 10 Careers Event

The National Space Centre, Leicester

National Space Academy Careers Events bring members of the UK space industry into direct contact with KS4 and KS5 students. These events aim to raise the profile of the space sector and show the diversity of careers, both academic and vocational, available within the industry. A key objective of making students aware of the exciting and unusual space related careers paths is to encourage students to study STEM subjects at KS5 and then further into higher education.

Students attend several talks from active members of the space industry on a variety of career possibilities within science and engineering, with a particular emphasis on space. Over the lunch hour participants are invited to drop in to our 'meet the scientist' session where they are afforded an opportunity to talk to, and ask in depth questions of our speakers. The day culminates in a key note talk on exciting space developments by a specialist in their field.
