Faulkes Telescope and National Schools' Observatory training workshop

The Faulkes Telescope Project and National Schools’ Observatory are running a training workshop (aimed at secondary school educators).

This workshop is supported by funds from the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) and is free to attend, and is accredited by the international Galileo Teacher Training Programme (GTTP).

This one-day workshop (10am-4pm) will serve as an introduction to using (freely available) robotic telescopes and astronomical data in the classroom, and also cover a variety of free astronomy/space science resources suitable for KS3-KS5 science and GCSE Astronomy students. The course has a significant practical element where teachers will carry out the exercises that we are recommending they use with their students.
