Planning Science in a Creative Curriculum: Space

Making links between curriculum subjects deepens children’s understanding by providing opportunities to reinforce and enhance learning, so how can we plan creatively, make science relevant and fire up children’s imagination? This course supports participants to plan for meaningful cross-curricular links within science and explores what ‘creativity in science’ actually means, in the context of the topic of Space, across the primary years.

Outcomes
Following this course, participants will be able to:

- raise the profile of science across the primary years
- plan stimulating activities that enhance teacher and pupil creativity in the context of the topic of Space
- use new and innovative resources related to the topic of Space
- create short or medium-term plans that deepen children's understanding in the context of the topic of Space
