The UK Space Agency introduces the CubeSat Challenge, an opportunity for fast access to space. CubeSats offer huge potential to accelerate technology development of sensors and instruments in a miniaturised package for deployment in space. New technology concepts for space missions can be demonstrated on CubeSat payloads, delivering a test bed at low cost and significantly reduced timescales.

CubeSat Challenge workshop offers a unique opportunity for industry, academia and large satellite system professionals to collaborate on the development of novel instruments, system approaches and evaluate individual components. The Challenge aims to connect companies with limited or no experience in space applications with the right knowledge base (experienced companies and institutions) to promote innovation in space based technologies and applications.

The day delivers a chance to engage with relevant technology developers from broad industrial communities, as users and integrators, alongside an experienced CubeSat community. Key information regarding the challenge and its objectives will be presented by funding partners, placing appropriate emphasis on bringing all communities able to benefit from low cost and fast access to space.
